Job Summary:

We're seeking a strategic and results-driven Director to accelerate PayPal's Win Checkout initiative by owning and executing strategic initiatives across global markets. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can own end-to-end execution and management of complex sales related initiatives across multiple stakeholders.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead the strategic design, analysis, and continuous improvement of business processes to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency across the organization.Oversee and eliminate inefficiencies, streamlining workflows to achieve significant cost reductions and productivity gains.Ensure robust governance and compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements in all process improvement initiatives.Leverage Six Sigma or Lean methodologies to spearhead process improvement projects, delivering measurable and impactful results.Serve as a subject matter expert and internal coach, guiding and mentoring teams in identifying and implementing innovative process improvement solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to align business processes with the organization's strategic goals and priorities.Influence and implement comprehensive performance management systems to monitor, evaluate, and enhance the effectiveness of business processes.Manage regular process audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure continuous optimization.Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices and encouraging innovation throughout the organization.Prepare and present detailed reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership on process improvement initiatives and their impact on business performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy and Operations

Own end-to-end execution of key sales strategy and initiatives related to Branded Checkout - sales forecasting, pipeline management, compensation, etc.

Work with product, engineering and business units on various aspects of sales strategy to drive TPV growth

Help build detailed account strategy based on merchant needs, PayPal offerings, product roadmap and GTM strategy

Lead cross-functional initiatives including strategic pricing, geographic expansion and new product adoption

Partner closely with finance on achievement of objectives across lever

Assist in driving long-term strategic decisions to drive sales growth while working with product on innovation goals

Cross-Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the central point of coordination between Sales, Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and other key teams

Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings and ensure clear communication of priorities, timelines, and dependencies

Develop senior stakeholder reporting and oversee materials for driving CXO deep-dive meetings

Drive accountability across teams by establishing clear ownership, deliverables, and deadlines

Escalate blockers and resource constraints to leadership with proposed solutions

Deal Analysis & Strategic Assessment

Conduct comprehensive financial and strategic analysis of potential deals, including ROI calculations, risk assessments, and competitive positioning in conjunction with various finance teams, bringing challenge and a comprehensive view

Challenge assumptions and validate business cases presented by internal teams and external partners

Create deal recommendations to senior leadership with clear rationale and supporting data, considering all levers available

Information Management & Intelligence Gathering

Proactively collate customer feedback to inform sales strategy

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Win Checkout capabilities, roadmap, and competitive differentiators

Create and maintain comprehensive deal documentation and knowledge repository

Ensure all stakeholders have access to accurate, timely information needed for decision-making

Core Competencies

Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to challenge assumptions and validate business cases

Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to C-level executives

Demonstrated ability to influence and drive results in matrix organizations without direct authority

Self-directed with strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes

Required Experience & Qualifications

Professional Background

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

8+ years of total experience with at least 3+ years of experience at a leading consulting firm, investment bank or technology company

Previous experience in fintech or e-commerce preferred

Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with revenue impact

Experience working directly with cross-functional teams

Technical & Analytical Skills

Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar)

Strong financial modeling capabilities

Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales pipeline management tools

Experience with project management methodologies and tools

The US national annual pay range for this role is $137,500 to $236,500
