Job Description Summary:
The Opportunity
As a Director of Business Intelligence and Customer Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development of analytics and insights solutions for the Walmart US team. You will make connections and be a key contributor in providing insights and strategies for the entire customer team (sales, operations, customer solutions, revenue growth management, finance) and across the bottling system. You will be responsible for stewarding new reporting capabilities and routines with internal and external stakeholders in multiple geographies.
You will be responsible for providing insights leveraging Scintilla/Retail Link data, syndicated, and internal data sources. You will be the technical and functional expert for ongoing performance reporting, development of automated analytic dashboards, and assist in providing ad hoc reporting for leadership. You will be a key contributor of the team and relied on heavily to consult and collaborate across functions on sales and operational opportunities and help plan, forecast, and build reporting. You will work closely with the backend data team to shape the development and delivery of new data sources and insights for the team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Subject matter expert for Coca-Cola and Walmart on Scintilla/Retail Link, analytical best practices, and business KPIs.
Supports sales, operations, customer solutions, RGM and finance teams with improvement projects, analytics, training, and best practice sharing.
Works directly with bottling partners to develop tools and capabilities to drive business performance improvements and provide ongoing analytic support.
Continue to advance the reporting and analytical capabilities for the team through creating dynamic visual dashboards focused on Sales, Profit and Supply Chain KPIs
Consistently looking for process improvements through deep collaboration with cross functional internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications
Desired Skills & Experience
Strong command and understanding of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy)
Strong command and understanding of Walmart data and applications (Scintilla, Retail Link, MADRID, GRS)
Strong command and understanding of syndicated data sources (Nielsen, Numerator)
Strong command and understanding of retail financials and operational metrics (Instocks, Margin)
Solid understanding of cross-functional responsibilities and how each role interacts and supports the others
BS or higher degree in Business, Accounting, or Computer Science
Proven expertise in data modelling and data quality management
Excellent knowledge of supply chain measurement with a history of building out new supply chain metrics and capabilities
High attention to detail to data and financial metrics
Great communication skills with a proven ability to articulate technical concepts to business stakeholders
Excellent ability to delivery projects on time and within scope
Excellent analytical and research skills
Excellent ability to manage multiple projects with multiple data sources simultaneously
