About the Role

Caring is seeking a strategic Director of Brand & Content to lead our brand development, content marketing and creative design efforts. In this highly visible leadership role, you’ll shape how millions of families discover and engage with our resources as they navigate senior care decisions. You will drive a unified brand experience across channels, oversee a high-performing team, and develop and execute a content strategy that supports business growth, user engagement, and our mission.

Key Responsibilities

Lead brand strategy by defining and evolving our positioning, messaging, tone of voice, and visual identity to ensure a consistent and emotionally resonant experience for families across all touchpoints. Own the full-funnel content strategy—from awareness through conversion—by developing editorial calendars, resource guides, data-driven studies, and informational content that empowers care seekers while aligning with SEO and acquisition goals. Manage multi-channel content development and creative execution across web, social media, email, and other platforms; streamline workflows and oversee both in-house and external contributors, agencies, and partners. Develop measurement frameworks to track content engagement, brand awareness, and conversion impact. Regularly report on performance, optimize content and creative based on insights, and communicate ROI to senior leadership. Build and mentor a high-performing team across content development, design, and content operations, fostering collaboration, creativity, and accountability. Manage content budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring cost efficiency and high-quality execution. Manage public relations strategy and execution including screening media opportunities, coordinating press releases, managing spokespeople, and building relationships with industry publications and healthcare media to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.

Qualifications

7–10 years of progressive experience in marketing with at least 3–5 years in brand or content leadership roles. Proven success in brand strategy, content marketing, and creative campaign execution in digital-first or consumer-focused environments. Deep experience crafting and implementing brand positioning, messaging frameworks, visual design and tone across multiple channels. Strong background in content strategy, SEO-informed editorial planning, and user-focused content development that drives both engagement and conversion.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and build scalable production systems. Proficiency with CMS platforms, SEO/SEM tools, marketing automation, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, SEMrush, etc.). Strong analytical and reporting skills with a track record of optimizing performance based on data. Demonstrated ability to determine a PR strategy, manage press relationships, coordinate media outreach, and develop and promote thought leadership content. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner and influence at all levels of the organization. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field required, MBA or advanced degree a plus.
