Director, Behavioral Health Service Line
Position OverviewUnited Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Behavioral Health Service Line Director. The Behavioral Health Service Line Director is expected to develop and implement a strategic plan for both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services, including addiction medicine and mental health. As the Director, you will lead proposals and business development efforts, while also supporting the team's career development and growth. Through strong direction and teamwork, you will collaborate closely with other operational leaders to accomplish the program’s operational, fiscal, business development, and organizational development goals. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: UHS Executive Physician Practice Management Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $54.17 - $81.25 per hour, depending on experience ----- Job Responsibilities + Supervise the operating activities of the behavioral health program, Mental Health, Methadone Clinic, New Horizons, and Inpatient Services + Coordinate planning and implementation of program projects + Work with project leaders and other program staff to ensure that all project plans are accurate, up-to-date and reflect the most efficient use of available resources + Support leaders in ensuring goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with priorities, time, funding, and regulation + Maintain a culture of open communication and risk mitigation across services + Proactively monitor performance to ensure exceptional quality, experience, and effectiveness + Seek to maximize service line margins through development and monitoring of productivity tools + Counsel and mentor staff on organization and site level policies and operational practices + Support the building of effective teams within the program by demonstrating accountability and working across system divisions + Proactively assess financial progress, vulnerabilities, and risks to projects. Identify weaknesses and support development of contingency plans + Participate in strategic planning and visioning sessions and lead strategic efforts + Prepare and generate various reports including metrics and other Service Line measures (such as KPIs or key performance indicators) + Develop budgets and a process to review performance vs budget + Manage Service Line activities to meet or exceed budgeted, net revenue, gross margin objectives + Manage cost to improve contribution margin by program + Closely monitor and forecast financial performance and to proactively take steps to mitigate risks Position Qualifications Minimum Required: + MBA + Seven (7) plus years of relevant work experience in health, health care, and leadership. ----- Why You’ll Love Working at UHS At United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connection—to patients, to purpose, to each other—makes a difference.
