Job Summary:

Manages a global team responsible for providing independent assurance and collaborative advisory services applying a global perspective to support risk management and process improvements. Fosters the ethical climate of the organization in a manner that sustains trust and reinforces the reputation of internal auditing and provides value to the organization. Addresses the key risks faced by the company and supports the requirements of management, the global audit charter and the charter of the audit committee. Sets internal audit strategy and ensures the internal control environment supports strategy execution. Ensures the planning and performance of comprehensive internal audits that provide impartial objective analyses, recommendations, counsel and information. The role reports to the VP of Global Audit.


Principal Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise the annual audit of financial recording, financial reporting and fraud prevention controls in accordance with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)Actively participate as a key member of the global audit leadership team in strategic and tactical topicsProvide thought leadership, continuous improvement and innovation; share best practices within region and globallyMaintain effective relationships with stakeholders including external auditorsIdentify, recruit talent; manage and develop audit team membersLeverage automation to support monitoring, audits and assessmentsSupport VP of Global Audit in developing, maintaining and delivering the entire Audit Plan and Audit Committee Reporting where relevantDevelop strategies and risk-based audit plans; develop monitoring, assessment and audit protocolsSupervise work performed by the audit team (review audit planning workpapers, and audit reports); ensure that the work agrees with the company's global audit standards; execute and issue clear and concise reportsHandle special projects (e.g., system implementations, internal investigations) as well as specific management requestsEvaluate key processes, risks, and related management controls to determine consequences of gaps or financial/business risksReview controls designed to safeguard resources and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulationsReview the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and identify opportunities to improve operating performancePartner with process owners on corrective action activities related to non-compliance and process improvementOther duties as assigned.


Job Level Specifications:

Provides leadership and direction through managers and lead auditors. Accountable for the performance and results of a major function that has cross-organizational impact.Establishes policies appropriate for the function. Interprets and recommends modifications to enterprise-wide policies and practices. Adapts and executes functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategies. Responsible for efficient utilization of significant resources within the function.Objectives are defined in collaboration with senior management and results assessed with a long-term perspective. Decisions are guided by functional strategy and priorities.Collaborates with senior management and others concerning matters of significance to the company. Routinely conducts briefings for senior management and/or key external contacts. Influences senior management or customers/clients.


Work Experience:

Typically 10+ years including 5+ years of management experience


Education and Certification(s):

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
