We are now looking for a strategic, technology-savvy Product Director, Analyzer Solutions, to lead our On-Stream Analyzer (OSA) product family within the Automation Product Group’s portfolio.

Your mission: Develop and sustain the world’s most competitive analyzer products

As a Product Director, you are responsible for the full lifecycle success of our OSA solutions—from strategy and innovation, through manufacturing, to market presence and technical excellence. You'll lead product roadmaps, align with global R&D, and ensure our offerings are unmatched in performance, value, and total cost of ownership. To excel in this task, you will need to be a good leader for your team. You will have a solid understanding of measurement principles with XRF, XRD, LIBS, and Laser Diffraction in the context of minerals processing.  

 

The position is located in our head office in Espoo, Finland.   


What you’ll do

 

Drive technology and product leadership in the short and long term, ensuring continuous improvement and breakthrough innovation Create and implement product roadmaps and portfolio strategies aligned with Metso’s business goals Maintain a solid vision of the sales funnel and its development, together with the Market Areas. Develop cost, price, and sourcing models that increase customer value and profitability Coordinate and manage product training, marketing content, presentations, and thought leadership (e.g., deliver technical papers) Support complex troubleshooting and offer technical expertise across the value chain Implement Design to Cost, Design to Service, and Product Sourcing best practices Monitor and analyze competitors and market dynamics to stay ahead of the curve Influence on the technical selling framework to guide global sales and delivery operations Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure strategic alignment and business impact


Who you are

 

 

Proven experience in product management within analyzer systems and instrumentation Strong technical background—preferably in minerals processing Strategic thinking and a data-driven mindset for portfolio and cost optimization Excellent collaboration and communication skills across R&D, sales, marketing, and delivery Experience with lifecycle management, go-to-market strategy, and innovation processes A passion for customer value, sustainability, and engineering excellence
