Introduction

 

We are seeking a Director, Analytics to lead the development of Metso’s analytics capabilities. In this role, you will shape and drive the foundations for enterprise-wide analytics, ensuring our organization has the structure, practices, and capabilities to unlock value from data through insight and measurement. You will lead the development of an operating model for analytics across the business, working closely with domain experts, functional teams, and the broader Data, Analytics & AI ecosystem. This is a strategic role that will set the stage for scalable, future-ready analytics in a global industrial environment.

 

You will report to the VP, Data, Analytics & AI Office. The preferred location for this role is Espoo, Finland, though we offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

You will be part of the newly established Data, Analytics & AI Office, Metso’s central hub to steer and enable the use of data and AI to deliver strategic business outcomes. What you’ll do

 

Lead the design and implementation of the operating model for analytics across Metso. Define roles, responsibilities, and collaboration mechanisms for analytics across business and market areas as well as central functions. Build a scalable foundation for future analytical services, governance, and communities of practice. Develop frameworks and standards for analytics delivery and value creation across domains. Collaborate with the Data Enablement, AI Enablement and Culture teams to ensure analytics capabilities align with data foundations, tools, and talent initiatives. Drive alignment on KPI structures, enterprise reporting, and governance processes in close collaboration with stakeholders in finance, strategy, and operations. Act as a key advisor on the development of analytics talent, tools, and platforms.

 

 

Who you are

 

Solid experience in analytics leadership, data strategy, or business intelligence in a complex, global environment. Proven ability to define and implement operating models and governance structures. Skilled at engaging stakeholders and building buy-in across functions and levels. Familiarity with industrial operations and product-centric analytics use cases is a plus. Strategic thinker with a growth mindset, a structured and pragmatic approach to execution. Strong understanding of analytics tools, data platforms, and storytelling / visualization practices.
