About the Role

As sales Lead, you will be responsible for growing Harman’s automotive business to meet customer specific booking targets and ensuring long-term commercial success and customer satisfaction for a portfolio of Harman customer projects. You and your team will actively engage with the customer in every stage to create business opportunities and drive these opportunities with healthy commercials.

What You Will Do

Develop and maintain the customer account strategy and be the primary contact from Harman to capture and propagate the strategic and commercial voice of customer for a select portfolio of customer projects.Ownership of commercial targets (revenue, New Booking, EBIT, Cash Flow) for your portfolio of customer programs.Understand customer expectations (cost, requirements, timing) and define internal targets to meet them, identify key stakeholders, develop and maintain a relationship map and decision makers and develop strategies.Build, maintain and drive the pursuit strategy for new business opportunities in alignment with the customer account strategy, Own RFI/RFQ response for new business opportunities and be responsible for the quote as well as for commercial sourcing negotiations with the customer.Own continuity of awarded business (extensions, follow-ons, CRs) with a view on continued lifetime profitability of your portfolio.Lead and develop a team of highly engaged sales/account managers.

What You Need to Be Successful

Bachelor’s degree in business management or bachelor’s degree in engineering.10+ years of related sales experience with at least 5 years leading a sales Organization and at least 3 years in Automotive.Must have a thorough understanding of Automotive OEM’s organization and processes.Thorough understanding of P&L statements, business cases and quotes / contracts with automotive OEMs.Strong hunting and negotiation skills.Experience developing and executing a strategy.

Bonus Points if You Have

Master’s degree in business management or engineering.Technical understanding of Automotive HW and SW systems.Experience within or working with applicable customers.

What Makes You Eligible

Be willing to travel up to 50%, domestic and international travel.Be willing to work in an [office, manufacturing facility, client-site] OR This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the X office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice).Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
