Main Purpose

The main purpose of this role is to grow, retain, and maintain customer accounts in an optimal and profitable manner by actively cross-selling and upselling products. This must be achieved while ensuring a seamless, low-effort customer experience in line with business expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities

Identify and grow sales volumes through new business opportunities and expansion of existing local accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with the local broker network and depots, especially those supporting National Deals. Implement and manage customer deals to meet and exceed service expectations. Ensure all customer pricing is current, accurate, and aligned with business standards. Provide market intelligence and potential National Deal leads to relevant channel managers. Promote PG Glass by attending customer and industry events and distributing marketing material. Manage customer accounts by resolving queries, following up on overdue accounts, and identifying cross- and upselling opportunities at local fitment centres. Ensure effective communication and implementation of local deals at Fitment Centres. Maintain comprehensive and auditable records of all deals to ensure continuity and customer satisfaction.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Qualifications

Grade 12 / Matric certificate

Experience

Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a strong focus on cold calling Experience in FMCG, Retail, or a similar customer-focused environment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong negotiation and selling skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) Conflict resolution and time management Strong presentation skills and numerical ability High level of computer literacy Well-developed planning and organising skills Ability to work independently and manage customer expectations effectively
