Purpose Lead the Product Ownership IB GBM Team, responsible for the Business Initiatives prioritization and execution according to the Enterprise Delivery Framework. Contributes to the overall success of the business by ensuring investments are aligned to the business strategy and objectives, provide cost- and value-competitive product offers and ensures technical implementations are executed on time on budget. Accountabilities • Leads and drives the technical implementations for GBM IB. Acts as main contact with application providers and our partners in Technology. • Knows perfectly the business and is able to guide the incremental deliveries to add value to the business in a consistent way. • Heads the team responsible for user stories ensuring details and complete casuistic are properly captured and explained to our partners in Technology. • Has a significant technical knowledge and is able to anticipate project execution risks. Understands the technical language used by our partners in Technology. • Defines the success exit criteria though thorough test cases. • Coordinates end to end the execution of programs involving different teams (Business, Technology and external vendors). • Resolves conflicts and removes obstacles • Identifies and address business growth limitations in terms of processes or technology • Liaises with GBM, product, IT, Data, Operations, Risk, Finance and Banking areas for the successful projects’ execution • Supports project managers with technical and project-related issues to deliver each initiative according to plan • Prepares project/portfolio status and executive presentations and documents to request and manage resources, and also to inform status of execution. • Stays well informed and socializes internally the tools, market practices, the regulatory environment, and the competitive landscape relative to Corporate & Investment Banking and Capital Markets. • Creates an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment, communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team. Qualifications • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience • Ability to work at a fast pace, managing pressure and with the ability to pivot as needed • Business and Technology acumen • Highly skilled in negotiation • Ability to take data driven decisions to • Passionate about customer advocacy, driven towards high-level customer service and brings a track record in customer success within the financial industry • Broad knowledge of systems for Business Banking, Investment Banking and Capital Markets • Demonstrated ability in leading professional staff across a distributed network • Experienced with CA PPM, JIRA, Excel and PowerPoint • Experienced with project and portfolio management • Experienced with independently developing executive presentations and documents • Effective communication and strategic influencing skills to effectively persuade and influence stakeholders and senior management • Spanish proficiency is a must Ubicación(s): México : Ciudad de México : Miguel Hidalgo Scotiabank es un banco líder en las Américas.
