Summary
The Director of Clinical Expansion and Partnerships plays a critical role in advancing the growth of Moffitt Cancer Center. This position is responsible for leading the development and planning for clinical expansion and partnership initiatives, including the development of new oncology and ancillary service lines as well as new partnerships outside of 35 miles. In addition, the position is responsible for supporting existing clinical partnerships. Working cross-functionally with clinical, operational, financial, and strategic leaders, the manager will ensure that growth initiatives are data-driven, financially sound, and aligned with the cancer center’s mission to deliver exceptional and equitable cancer care.
Minimum Experience Required
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in healthcare strategy, clinical operations, or business development.
• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, or related field is required. A doctoral degree (MD, PhD) in a healthcare-related discipline is preferred.
• Strong understanding of oncology service lines and academic medical center operations preferred.
• Proven experience in financial modeling, market analysis, and project management.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.
Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required
• Develop and implement outside of 35-mile clinical expansion and partnership initiatives in alignment with institutional goals and priorities.
• Oversee development of financial pro formas and clinical models for delivering care outside of 35 miles.
• Oversee development of financial pro formas and clinical models for delivering care through clinical partnerships domestically and internationally
• Prepare executive-level presentations and business cases for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Help identify new opportunities for collaboration, expansion and partnership outside of 35 miles
• Ability to influence, initiate, and accept change, and address complex, multi-faceted questions and issues.
• Must have excellent verbal/written communications skills, excellent presentation and teaching skills, and be able to participate in a cross-functional team approach.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and implement agreed-upon initiatives.
• Must possess interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to manage conflict situations as well as a demonstrated record of responsible actions.
• Documented ability to lead teams of direct reports and/or team members from other departmental functions in a highly matrixed organization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, geographically dispersed organizations; demonstrated success in principal staff officer roles; consulting experience with a focus on operations management.
Preferred Experience
• Knowledge of NCI-designated cancer center requirements, including community outreach and catchment area analytics.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations, oncology reimbursement models, and affiliation structures.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, mission-driven, and data-informed environment.
