As the Director of Engineering Cloud Infrastructure, you will implement and enhance consistent engineering, implementation, lifecycle management and support practices to ensure stable product delivery aligned with company initiatives and expectations. Support operations of on-premise infrastructure to deliver exceptional products and services to our tenants including technical services, plant maintenance, telephone operations, service delivery, and network operations. Direct project planning, capital budgeting and assist with business plan development.

Develops an effective front line Leadership team and assist them with developing their direct reports as to drive a high performance culture and environment.Leads an innovative, collaborative work team to produce exceptional results delivering the customer experience.Oversees designated operations which may include, but not limited to Cloud Infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, Kubernetes, Docker, server compute, SAN storage, virtualization, Headend, network engineering, advanced video engineering, construction projects, and related equipment requirements.Provides engineering support and direction for new or existing technologies and current operational initiatives.Evaluates and consults with all levels of leadership regarding technical operations, strategic planning of rebuilds, network operations, dispatch, and new product development and deployment.   Directs quality control programs for engineering operations and consistent operational procedures, Reviews selections on bids for contracted projects, and provide recommendations as necessary.Directs capital budget process, executes approved budget plan.
Ensures current procedures and tests are performed in accordance with Federal Communication Commission Standards, oversees the maintenance of records as required by the Federal Communications Commission and other government agencies.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications

Experience:
Ten (10+) years engineering experience and/or network operations.Seven (7+) years management experience.Two (2+) years project management experience.Education:
Master's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.Technical Skills:
Advanced Knowledge of HFC, Advanced Video, IP Networks, and Telephony.Comprehensive understanding of HVAC and power distribution systems.Skills and Abilities:
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.Advanced knowledge of all FCC compliance reports and other rules and regulations.Comprehensive understanding of applicable local and state rules and regulations.Comprehensive understanding of OSHA rules and regulations, both federal and state.In-depth knowledge of Analog Transmission Line Theory.In-depth knowledge of Electronic theory.In-depth knowledge of Federal Communications Commission regulations.In-depth knowledge of Fiber Optic theory.In-depth knowledge of National Electric Code and National Electric Safety Code.Work Environment:
Office environment.Varying schedules in a 24 x 7 Network Center.Exposure to moderate noise levels.Travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Knowledge of company products and services.Advanced Knowledge of Compute Servers.Advanced Knowledge of Storage Area Networks.Advanced Knowledge of Virtualization platforms like OpenStack, Nutanix, KVM and Kubernetes.Advanced Knowledge of Data Protection and backup platforms such as Rubrik or Cohesity.Advanced Knowledge of Availability Zone implementation and management.

Preferred Education

Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (VMWare, Nutanix, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, etc.) Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)

The base pay for this position generally is between $138,800.00 and $246,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
