Munich Re Japan Branch is actively expanding the Digital Solutions business tailored to insurance companies. We leverage our extensive domain knowledge in insurance, accumulated over the years, to optimize key operations such as underwriting and claims handling—creating and delivering new value to both insurance companies and policyholders. We are now looking for a Project Manager who will take the lead in implementing a new insurance-related digital service. You will be a key player in a small, high-performing team, bridging business and technology with cross-functional responsibilities.
Your job:
Lead project management activities, including schedule, quality, and cost controlOrganize business requirements and support IT requirements definitionSupport the planning and evaluation of system architecture directionCoordinate with clients and internal stakeholders (business and IT teams)Help with UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and production go-live support
Your profile:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud-based system developmentAt least 2 years of project management experience in system developmentExperience across the full development lifecycle from requirements definition to system acceptanceNative level Japanese language skill and strong English communication skill. Your role will involve participation in meetings and reporting with global teamsBusiness knowledge of the life insurance industryUnderstanding of information security and personal data protectionAble to flexibly bridge business and IT perspectivesDemonstrates strong problem-solving and analytical thinkingWork independently while collaborating with othersThrives in small teams and takes initiative in driving resultsOpen to challenges and eager to explore new approaches
