This Position reports to:

Sales Support Manager
 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division & market) and its customers throughout the digital solution proposals with respect to technical and commercial aspects. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by determining the costs and preparing final documentation.

This role is contributing to the Energy Industries, Process Automation for OPC business in ABB, Bangalore You will be mainly accountable for:

Design and deliver Industry 4.0 solutions for Asset Performance Management (APM), focusing primarily on Rotating Assets.Support the bids and proposal team by preparing effective system designs and technical & commercial bid documentation.Ensure high-quality project execution in line with industry standards and customer requirements.Position based at INOPC, Bangalore, within ABB Process Automation Energy Division.

Qualifications for the role

Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in Engineering, Bids, and Commissioning of APM solutions across Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals, Power & Water industries.APM & Digitalization Expertise: Strong knowledge of APM, digitalization, automation, and IoT solutions tailored to the energy sector.Asset Performance Management Solutions: Hands-on experience with condition monitoring, asset reliability & integrity, predictive & prescriptive analytics, and Enterprise Asset Management.Vibration Data Analysis: Expertise in hardwired vibration analysis for mechanical assets, including three-axial vibration measurement, analysis, and reporting.System Architecture Design: Proficiency in designing vibration analysis systems for large machineries and small rotating equipment, using both wired and wireless technologies.Customer Engagement & Cost Estimation: Ability to collaborate with ABB’s Local Division sales team, identify customer requirements, propose solutions, and prepare cost estimations for digital scope.Project Lifecycle & Risk Management: Strong understanding of the complete project life cycle, including deliverables, risk identification, and mitigation strategies.

Additional Knowledge: Thermodynamics (heat transfer, combustion, heat-to-power conversion) would be a plus.BE /B Tech (Automation/Electrical/Instrumentation)Good communication skills
