INTRODUCTION

This position is responsible for the performance of manual and machine tasks in the setup, operation, and maintenance of finishing equipment to accurately produce product to customer specifications.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are neededReview and follow all job ticketsVerify finished product matches the supplied samplePerform all assigned work effectively and on schedulePerform routine adjustments during each job and maintain production throughout the runPerform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks as neededMaintain make-ready and run standards while producing quality productsMaintain records of daily production, using specified formsRecord production information such as amount of time spent on specific tasksOversee the crew working on the machineEnsure product conforms to quality standardsFollow all standard operating procedures relevant to the job, position, and departmentFollow established policies, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelinesComplete non-compliance documentation as necessaryKeep work area neat and cleanTrain co-workers to set up, operate and use equipment as directedPerform other job duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Two years’ manufacturing experience with operating digital press equipment is requiredKnowledge of the following equipment is preferred: International Paperbox finishing equipment, Bobst finishing equipment, and Hyber-Shroeder window machine, Signoptics Digital PrinterMust understand and know how to operate quality assurance systems used on operating equipmentBasic computer skills required (email, data entry, transferring files, etc.).Willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
