As Digital Press Operator, based in Torrance, CA, you'll be responsible for operating our Fujifilm J-Press and ensuring high-quality digital print production. This role requires a skilled professional who understands printing fundamentals, paper characteristics, and quality control processes. You'll troubleshoot complex printing issues, maintain production standards, and work collaboratively to meet tight project deadlines. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, as overtime may be necessary to support production schedules and client demands. Bring your team-focus, adaptability, and commitment to excellence, and we’ll help you grow what drives you - and deliver the world’s most challenging Operations Management projects, together. #bia #omfs #ourjacobs Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Press Operations & Quality Control: • Operate Fujifilm J-Press and related digital printing equipment to meet customer specifications • Monitor print quality throughout production runs and make necessary adjustments • Troubleshoot printing issues including moisture problems, paper handling issues, and color consistency challenges • Perform routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting • Maintain accurate color profiles and calibration standards • Collaborate with Pre-Press to assist with or review preflight checks on customer artwork to ensure print readiness. Production Management: • Review digital files for print production while maintaining project schedules • Create and manage job logs, coordinating workflow with team members • Perform rasterization of files for optimal digital output • Assist with creating scale proofs and samples for customer approval Customer Service & Communication: • Work directly with customers and teams to review specifications and requirements • Present proofs and samples to customer service for client approval • Receive and implement feedback, delivering revised proofs in a timely manner • Communicate production timelines and any potential issues to relevant stakeholders Administrative Duties: • Maintain clean and organized work area following company safety protocols • Document production workflows and equipment usage • Assist with inventory management of paper stock and printing supplies • Support other production activities as assigned by management • Previous digital press experience in a professional printing environment • Strong understanding of printing fundamentals, paper characteristics, and quality control processes • Proficiency with Fujifilm workflow and XMF Client Setup/Press Ready Digital Print Production Workflow system • Knowledge of Windows and MAC computer systems and typical print production software • Ability to troubleshoot complex printing issues including moisture, paper handling, and color problems • Strong attention to detail and quality-conscious approach to work • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines Ideally, You’ll Also Have: • Fujifilm J-Press operating experience • Experience with high-volume digital print production • Technical training in printing or related field • Familiarity with color management and calibration processes Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds • Capable of standing and walking for extended periods • Ability to reach with hands and arms for equipment operation • Comfortable working in a moderate noise environment Additional Information: This position occasionally requires overtime to support production needs and tight project deadlines.
