Digital Press Operator
**Description:** Sets up, adjusts, and operates various types of color or black and white state\-of\-the\-art reproduction equipment, high volume engineering copiers, and paper collating machines to perform any operation within their capacity, where it is required to exercise knowledge of reproduction methods, techniques, equipment, and processes; operates high volume engineering copiers examining and/or inspecting prints for legibility, clarity, and general quality; reproduces manual and electronic copies such as technical manuals, catalogs, illustrations, forms, reports, proposals, artwork, photos, presentation material, and related documentation; receives, surveys, and fills requests for reproduction work where it is required to exercise tact and courtesy; lays out runs for maximum utilization of print stock, segregating originals according to type of print requested on reproduction order, and groups reproductions in such manner as to fully utilize layouts and to facilitate trimming; establishes priority of jobs, checks requests for authorizing signature and conformance to department, customer, and Company policy, and ensures correctness and quality of the finished work\. **Basic Qualifications:** • Experience with Computer workstation • Data Input • To efficiently operate and maintain paper reproduction printer equipment, ensuring optimal performance through proper settings, calibration, and configuration, while considering paper material variables such as grade, weight, texture, and type\. • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance **Desired Skills:** • Experience with Fiery Command WorkStation software\. • Experience with Slingshot's ERP software • Knowledge of bindery techniques, publication formats, paper material, dividers, cover stocks, trimming\. • Can operate stapling machines, paper drills, paper cutters, bindery equipment\. **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\. **Clearance Level:** Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\.
