The successful candidate will coordinate with the administrative staff to organize, support, and facilitate programming, events, lectures, workshops; conduct outreach and publicity online and in person; document policy and procedures; track and organize scheduling; and staff the reception area. This position has an anticipated start date in August 2025. The successful applicant will work 19 hours per week in fall and spring semesters. Summer employment will be reviewed annually. For the Library to be able to appropriately monitor hours worked, part-time employees are generally asked to restrict their work with the University of Utah to Library employment only, unless an exception is granted. **Responsibilities** Be the first point of contact, receive visitors, answer questions and direct queries to relevant parties. Maintain the Digital Matters web site, upload and update images, posts, blogs, and the event calendar. Communicate and advertise to faculty, staff, and students on events, lectures, talks, workshops, and other DML activities. Broadcast DML events on social media. Take photos, where appropriate, at events for communications purposes. Maintain and update mailing lists. Work with Marriott Library Public Relations office on advertising, graphics, flyers. Coordinate and set up events, speaker series, workshops, exhibitions, showcases, reading groups, classes. Book rooms, vendors, and/or caterers as needed. Communicate and coordinate with visiting lecturers, guests. Maintain and update the number of participants at events. Track number of applications for internal grants and fellowships. Work with the administrative leadership to document policy and procedure. **Minimum Qualifications** Must be a current University of Utah student enrolled 6 undergraduate credit hours or 5 graduate credit hours during the fall and spring semesters. **Preferences** Good sense of priorities and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines. Ability to work as a member of a team. Skills in PC and/or MAC -based software and systems. Skills in Word, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator. Familiarity with Content Management Systems such as WordPress and web editing. Demonstrated proficiency and capability with information technology systems in the context of an academic library.
