Friedman real estate is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist. This is a strategic, hands-on digital marketing role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance creativity with data-driven decision-making. You’ll manage websites, online listings, and digital campaigns to ensure our communities are discoverable, engaging, and competitive in the market.
From designing intuitive websites to maintaining accurate ILS listings and driving digital traffic, you’ll be a critical part of how prospects connect with our brand and choose our communities.
This position is in-person at our Corporate Office in Farmington Hills, MI, and is not eligible for remote work.
WHO YOU ARE
You’re equal parts strategist and executor—comfortable refining websites for usability and design while also managing digital listings and campaigns. You’re analytical and creative, using data to back your ideas and improve results.
You understand the multifamily housing industry or can quickly learn its nuances, and you know how to adapt marketing strategies to local markets and audiences. You collaborate well, communicate clearly, and take ownership of your work from concept to completion.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Website Design + User Experience
Oversee website design and layout updates to ensure a modern, intuitive, and conversion-focused user experience (Rentcafe website, non-coding)
Apply design principles that improve navigation, readability, and accessibility for prospective renters
Collaborate with designers and developers to create visually compelling landing pages and property sites
Monitor site performance and user behavior to identify opportunities for enhancing engagement and lead generation
ILS + Online Listing Management
Maintain accurate and optimized listings across major ILS platforms (Apartments.com, Zillow, RentCafe, etc.)
Audit property listings regularly to ensure up-to-date pricing, availability, photos, and descriptions
Work with property teams to gather content that highlights community features and differentiators
Ensure listings reflect brand consistency and support lead generation goals
Social Media
Develop and execute social media strategies that align with brand and leasing goals
Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Collaborate with site teams to source high-quality photos, videos, and resident stories
Monitor engagement and respond to comments or messages in a timely, professional manner
Track and report on reach, impressions, and engagement to guide content improvements
PPC + SEO Campaigns
Plan, execute, and optimize PPC, paid social, and retargeting campaigns to maximize ROI
Manage ad budgets and monitor performance across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and other platforms
Incorporate SEO best practices, including keyword research, metadata optimization, and content improvements to support organic traffic growth
Analytics + Reporting
Track and report on campaign performance, lead sources, and conversion rates
Use Google Analytics, ad dashboards, and CRM data to evaluate marketing effectiveness
Provide insights and recommendations to the marketing and operations teams based on performance data
Complete weekly reporting packets for operations teams and ownership groups.
Content + Creative Oversight
Create digital content for websites and print marketing materials
Design flyers, handouts, signage to be used at communities
Ensure consistency of brand voice and visual identity across all digital channels
Develop content calendars in collaboration with site teams and marketing leadership
Vendor + Stakeholder Collaboration
Manage relationships with advertising partners, creative vendors, and marketing technology providers
Collaborate with regional managers and site teams to align digital campaigns with leasing goals and property needs
Place and track orders for communities while keeping all parties informed on order status.
