The Digital Governance Sr Analyst drives excellence through strategic oversight of professional teams and departmental operations, integrating specialized knowledge and industry expertise within a defined scope. Contributes to standards around which others will operate, requiring in-depth understanding of new areas collectively integrating within the sub-function as well as coordinating and contributing to the objectives of the entire function. Requires foundational commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and potential external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Will drive significant impact on the area through complex deliverables.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Analysis & Mapping:
Perform comprehensive regulatory mapping exercises to identify applicable requirements across business operationsConduct regulatory change impact analysis to assess effects of new and evolving regulations on business processesPrepare documentation, arrange for evidence collection and manage impact assessments and escalations, meeting deliverables within expected timeframesEnsure adherence to governance processes to guarantee seamless project execution across team functionsProcess Innovation & Automation:
Champion process automation initiatives and AI incorporation across operational process flows and manual oversight activitiesConduct deep-dive analysis to identify optimization opportunities and streamline workflows for enhanced efficiency and effectivenessLead digital transformation efforts by evaluating emerging technologies and their application to governance and risk management processesDesign and implement automated solutions to reduce manual effort while maintaining robust oversight and accuracyCollaborate with technology teams to develop intelligent monitoring systems and predictive analytics capabilitiesDigital Risk & Vendor Management:
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Execute primary business owner responsibilities encompassing the entire cycle from onboarding to ongoing monitoring and offboarding processesAnalyze and review quarterly regulatory monitoring results, identify gaps and implement suitable corrective actionsServe as a key liaison in managing third party vendor relationships and oversight programsManage key relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure accountability for meeting digital risk requirementsStrategic Oversight & Collaboration:
Work closely with various enterprise functions such as Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Data Security and Fraud teams to review and obtain approval for planned initiativesFacilitate cross-functional regulatory interaction lifecycle management to ensure organization-wide alignment for all phases of the regulatory interaction lifecycleEnsure adherence to controls frameworks by developing standards that promote consistency of processes across the organizationTrack and monitor internal compliance issues, regulatory commitments and enforcement actions from onset through conclusion, ensuring appropriate reporting in various senior forums to ensure responses to deficiencies identified by regulators appropriately address the root cause, clearly define corrective actions and properly report on audit systemCommunication & Stakeholder Management:
Communicate to all stakeholders on a timely basis in a clear wayFacilitate, coordinate, and arbitrate cross-functional macro level topics with key stakeholdersLead strategic initiatives and drive organizational change through effective stakeholder engagementQualifications
Experience & Expertise:
• 7-10 years experience in Compliance and Risk Management
• Strong understanding of digital franchise operations and emerging technology risks
• Track record of success in leading critical projects with excellent influencing skills to drive projects forward, gain buy-in and iterate based on feedback
• Ability to create relevant strategy and lead ideation processes with stakeholders through to implementation phases
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal guidance and supervision
• Expertise in regulatory mapping and change impact analysis methodologies
• Demonstrated experience in third party risk assessment and vendor lifecycle management
