**Job Description:**
At Regions, the Digital Experience Researcher is a specialist that uses qualitative and quantitative mixed research methods to gather and synthesize data and feedback to improve usability, solve problems and inform product strategy at every stage of the design and development process. This research will add context and insight to the design process; paving the way to products that are useful, usable, frictionless and delightful. The Researcher is responsible for designing, planning and executing the research plan including screeners, surveys, usability testing, focus groups, interviews, field visits, ethnography studies, competitive analysis, cognitive walkthroughs, task analysis, journey development and persona building. Researchers are storytellers who can visualize and present findings in a concise narrative to stakeholders, partners and product owners.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Plans and executes customer research throughout the design and development lifecycle, from early strategic direction through post-release validation
+ Researches personas and investigate behavior
+ Collaborates with internal teams as they use research findings to improve products
+ Works closely with marketing, product management and design teams to identify research topics
+ Participates in recruitment activities for user research
+ Plans and implements the overall user research strategy and methods for specific projects assigned to them
+ Plans and executes moderated and unmoderated usability exercises
+ Clearly communicates research findings to internal stakeholders
+ Submits research finding for peer review
+ Conducts reviews of peer’s research findings
+ Share insights to drive feature roadmaps, prioritization and continuous improvement
+ Partner with User Experience (UX) Design, Product and the lines of Business Partners to explore customer
+ issues and big questions Researchers can dig into
+ Monitor app and Google play store feedback
+ Analyze data to extend a key finding to an insights
+ Map trends to current work in flight or solutions
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in cognitive or experimental psychology, human computer interaction, human factors, Digital Design, Human Resources, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Market Research or related field
+ Three (3) years experience as a UX User Researcher or similar role
+ Strong and capable engagement in standard research processes with experience in qualitative and user-centered design research methodologies
+ Knowledge of UX and user centered design practices
+ Familiarity of quantitative behavioral analysis and statistics

Additionally:
+ Familiarity with basic User Experience principles
+ Interest in quantitative user research (e.g., quantitative usability testing, analytics, or statistical analysis)
+ Experience in presenting/sharing research insights to a variety of audiences Demonstrated impact of research insights to inform product and design decisions
Experience with project stakeholder management, which can include:
+ Setting expectations for research outcomes
+ Collaboration during research methodology
+ Follow-up activities after sharing research insights
Other Desired Skills/Experience with quantitative user research, which can include:
+ Website or mobile analytics assessment
+ Quantitative usability testing
+ Statistical analysis
+ Previous research-related work in an industry outside of financial services
+ Demonstrated influence of research’s role in stakeholder product and design decisions
+ Familiarity with advanced User Experience best practices for web and mobile design
Previous research-related work around Accessibility and/or Inclusion, which can include:
+ Familiarity of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards
+ Experience with accessibility user testing
+ Previous research-related work that prioritized reaching under-represented audiences
+ Fluency in English and Spanish preferred

**This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future** . Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are **Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.**

**Compensation Details**
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
