What You'll Do
As a Conversion Optimization & UX Design Manager, you will be a strategic and hands-on force in BCG’s Design Studios, applying deep expertise in Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and UX design to elevate the digital performance of financial institutions and other client industries. You will lead and execute end-to-end optimization and design strategies—shaping digital experiences that are not only beautifully crafted, but also measurably impactful.
You will work closely with strategic consulting teams to embed in their workflows as a digital design expert, helping them bring hypotheses to life through testable design, A/B experiments, journey optimization, and data-informed user flows. Whether auditing an existing onboarding funnel for a bank or designing a high-performing interface for a financial product, you will bring user-centric creativity backed by behavioral data and performance metrics.
Beyond your CRO specialization, you will also contribute to broader digital design initiatives—from mobile apps and microsites to dashboards, B2B interfaces, and other digital platforms. You will coach, inspire, and collaborate with cross-functional creative teams to shape engaging, effective digital experiences across industries.
You will be embedded in a global network of experts, often partnering with other Experience and Visual Designers, Developers, and Creative Strategists. Together, you’ll champion modern, scalable, and human-centered design within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
YOU’RE GOOD AT
As a CRO Manager, you will help clients unlock digital growth by designing and executing robust experimentation strategies. You will operate at the intersection of analytics, UX, and business, working closely with consulting teams and clients to translate strategic objectives into measurable, test-driven outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing the current maturity of analytics and testing capabilities across client organizations, identifying structural gaps and enablers.Conducting quantitative funnel analyses to identify conversion drop-offs and define high-impact testing opportunitiesLeading the end-to-end building and execution of experimentation programs, including A/B and multivariate testing, heatmap and recording session analysisApplying behavioral insights and CRO methodologies to identify friction points and generate data-backed hypothesesManaging the set-up, QA, and deployment of experiments using industry-standard tools (e.g., Optimizely, VWO)Collaborating with cross-functional teams—product, design, analytics, and business—to align testing initiatives with broader growth strategyAnalyzing results from Google Analytics, Amplitude and similar tools with statistical rigor, deriving actionable insights, and presenting clear, business-oriented recommendationsDeveloping and maintaining testing roadmaps grounded in impact potential, technical feasibility and implications, tracking, and strategic alignmentMentoring junior team members on experimentation logic, data interpretation, and CRO best practicesWhat You'll Bring
7+ years of professional experience in UX/CRO design, ideally within a consulting, digital agency, or product team settingProven experience conducting CRO audits, building testing roadmaps, and improving conversion for complex user journeys (e.g., sign-up, onboarding, product usage)Mastery of tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar UX/UI platformsWorking knowledge of A/B testing tools and data platforms (e.g., Google Optimize, Optimizely, Hotjar, GA4, Mixpanel)Strong understanding of performance marketing, funnel optimization, and human behavior principlesExperience with clients in banking, financial services, or insurance is highly preferredStrong English communication and presentation skills; additional European languages are a plusA portfolio showcasing both strategic thinking and strong execution in CRO/UX projectsWho You'll Work With
As part of Design Studios, you will collaborate with global designers and colleagues across BCG to bring design expertise and capabilities to clients as well as internal teams. GDS comprises a diverse group of talented design professionals across video, content, digital design, etc., all of which work collaboratively to deliver the most cutting-edge design solutions.
