The Digital Clinical Business Analyst is a member of the MGB Digital Care Delivery team at Martha's Vineyard Hospital.

This vital role provides a blend of frontline technical support to our providers and business staff and will be responsible for coordinating prioritized projects as needed.


 

Job Summary

The Opportunity

The Digital Clinical Business Analyst of the Digital Care Delivery team is responsible for the implementation, analysis and testing, maintenance and upgrades, application design, and debugging of clinical systems related projects, including for Epic.



What You'll Do:

-Supports software application and workflow experts to provide design & build expertise to analyze organization's current business practices and translate them into configurations and workflows, for successful product implementation.
-Ability to help guide decisions using application knowledge and analysis in a timely fashion.
-Participates in peer review for quality assurance of team member build, and assists with onboarding & mentoring of new team members.
-Works closely with end users to document business requirements, and translates those requirements into functional specifications and/or system build/configuration for the software application.
-Develops and executes test plans and performs other software quality assurance tasks.
-Provides ongoing support of the software applications by identifying and resolving issues, and escalating as needed for timely resolution.
-Participates in regular team meetings to discuss team activities, issues and updates.
-Acts as team delegate/representative at department, project or other meetings, as assigned.
-Participates as needed with review of the training curriculum and end user documentation for the applications user community.


 

Qualifications

What You Bring:

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study requiredExperience in lieu of a degree may be consideredInformation Technology Experience 2-3 years required and Electronic Health Records Experience 2-3 years requiredMust obtain Epic certification if required for assigned Epic applications.
 


Skills For Success:

Experience in the development, support or operation of software applications, preferably in a healthcare setting.Ability to document workflows and business processes.Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.Problem-solving skills.Ability to learn quickly.Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and other popular office productivity solutions.
