What you’ll do

This role is within the Digital VNO (Vodafone Network Operations) department, part of one of Vodafone’s most challenging initiatives. The primary goal is to automate Network Operations processes as much as possible, thereby reducing human effort in repetitive tasks through error-free automations. This includes designing web and mobile applications to enhance usability and minimize clicks for end users, with the support of data science, where applicable.
Our ambition is to leverage cutting-edge technologies to deliver the best products for our internal Network Operations customers. The Digital Field and Innovation team focuses on deploying web and mobile applications to automate field and change management activities, experimenting with innovative approaches such as coding with the support of Gen AI and applying machine learning to maximize automation potential.

The IT Digital Architect Lead is responsible for providing strategic direction and overseeing the high-level system architecture for Digital and ZTO Team – Operational Tools Area. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that our technology solutions align with organizational goals, are scalable, and maintain architectural integrity.

Define and maintain the high-level system architecture for Digital and ZTO Team – Operational Tools AreaCollaborate with Solution Architects and development teams to ensure alignment with architectural principlesLead the evaluation of emerging technologies and their potential impact on the organization's architectureDrive innovation initiatives that enhance the architectural landscape while aligning with strategic objectivesProvide guidance on architectural decisions, ensuring consistency, scalability, and securityFoster a culture of architectural excellence and knowledge sharingCollaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into architectural solutionsConduct regular architectural reviews and audits to maintain architectural integrityMentor and coach Solution Architects and development teams on architectural best practicesKeep abreast of industry trends and advancements in system architecture and technologyWho you are Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience (5+ years) as a System Architect or similar role with a track record of designing complex, scalable systemsStrong knowledge of architecture frameworks and principlesProficiency in various system and software architecture tools and technologiesProven experience in coordinating resources to deploy IT/TELCO projectsKnowledge of Network Operations processesDemonstrated expertise in designing solutions that include innovative technologiesSolid technical background in coding and IT architecturesSolid background with agile product development practicesAbility to influence and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholdersConfidence in interacting with challenging senior individuals across different parts of the organizationAbility to thrive in a dynamic environment and drive significant changesStrong communication and decision-making skills with the ability to mediate conflicting interestsNot a perfect fit?
