Sodexo is seeking a Part-Time Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic clinical team at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach and Irvine, CA.

Hoag Memorial Hospital is a 411-bed hospital located on two campuses.

What You'll Do Work as an Inpatient Registered Dietitian collaboratively with a team of dietitians in this challenging acute care setting with a nutrition care population including: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatricsBe responsible for performing patient screens, assessments, education and documentation utilizing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) guidelinesCounsel patients and family members as neededWork in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in the area, attend unit and clinical program meetings, committees, and relevant activitiesAct as a community and clinical educator, performing presentations on respective nutrition topicsBe involved as a clinical instructor and preceptor for dietetic interns, new hires, interns, and peersProvide coverage on weekends and holidays as neededWill work a scheduled 20-hour week or more ( 3 days a week, 8-hour shift daily) and be included in the weekend and holiday rotation as needed What We Offer

What You Bring A Registered Dietitian credential with two or more years’ experience in an inpatient settingExperience providing nutrition care to a population that includes: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, including mother-baby, med-surg, acute rehab, sub-neuro ICU, CCU, CVI, and SNICU (prior experience is preferred)Flexible, reliable, knowledgeable, and collaboratively work with a strong team of dietitiansThe ability to maintain excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groupsStrong time management and organizational skills Who We Are

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
