About the Role 

Be a part of our dedicated Multidisciplinary Allied Health team   

Our Dietitian role is structured to offer exposure to a wide range of clinical settings, professional development support, and training through a supported induction process.  We will provide you with an onsite supervisor to support your journey and a genuine caring management team.   

 You will gain experience in various adult cohorts including aged care and disability services. The role is based in our modern well equipped therapy centres with access to a support staff, a multidisciplinary team and senior staff. We provide our therapy in a range of settings, in our centres, in our care facilities and in the community.   

We have a team of over 90 staff across both campuses in Sinnamon Park and Chermside. Our team includes Physiotherapists, Dietetics, Podiatry, Exercise Physiologist, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Nursing and more!    

Key Role Accountabilities: 

Assessment of customer dietetic needs and development of individual treatment plans and goals  

Delivery of high quality intervention and dietetic advice  

Regular review of customer treatment plans and goals  

Assisting customers to achieve optimum nutritional and dietetic outcomes Provide instruction, supervision and education to customers, support workers and other carers as required. 

Identify opportunities to provide other cross disciplinary services which may be of benefit to the customer.  

Ensure that the customer is an active participant in the development and review of treatment goals and planning.  

Ensure that positive and professional relationships and rapport are developed and maintained with customers. Provide services to customers presenting with a wide range of needs, including aged care, disability, health and wellbeing, return to work and rehabilitation.  

Work across services and sites within WMQ dependent upon service requirements. 

Complete accurate assessment and review of dietetic needs of customers, and to provide a consultancy service to a wide range of customers.  

Development of individual treatment plans for customers assessed as needing dietetic advice and intervention. 

About You  

Demonstrated ability in the provision of Dietetic assessment and treatment of community dwelling customers presenting with a wide range of needs, including aged care, disability and health and wellbeing.  

Demonstrated ability and proficiency in the timely receipting, appropriate documenting and accurate record keeping into computerised programs.  

High level of verbal and written communication skills particularly in establishing and maintaining rapport with staff, customers and their carers.  

Ability to work effectively as a multi-disciplinary team member. 

Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage individual caseload whilst meeting service and customer needs.  

Demonstrated ability to recognise other needs that WMQ can assist customers with and provide relevant and timely referrals. 

What makes a difference for us: 

Tertiary qualifications in Dietetics and current eligibility for membership of Dietitians Association of Australia and the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program. 

Proof of Vaccination Status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQ Limited Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement. 

Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy. 

Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work.
