Job Summary
Provides community nutrition education programs to the Jack and Sheryl Morris Cancer Center patients and families, including programs for the demonstration kitchen located in the building,
Will also be responsible for presentations and programs for the surrounding community,
Creates educational materials to support programs and classes,
Also provides employee in services as requested and content development for social media platforms for nutrition education,
Schedules and develops programs in collaboration with the community wellness team,
Ensures the demonstration kitchen meets requirements of township and the Health Department as needed,
Responsible for procuring, stocking, and managing kitchen supplies and food,
Monitors equipment e,

temperature logs of refrigerators and annual inspections,
Facilitates requests for maintenance when necessary,
Maintains a clean and sanitized working environment in the kitchen,
Maintains ServSafe certification,
Records and reports expenses for demonstration kitchen in a timely and accurate manner,
Collaborates with relevant service lines and clinical staff on group-focused nutrition education for prevention and maintenance of chronic diseases,
Connects with community partners and food pantries to schedule nutrition education at strategic locations,
Coordinates, implements, and evaluates nutrition education for individuals across the lifespan,
Understands needs of community members and utilizes data, evidenced-based, and best-practices to develop content presented,
Develop curriculum, menus, and recipes with a focus on active and chronic medical conditions,
Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence through attendance and participation at departmental meetings and pertinent continuing education to maintain RD status,
Qualifications:
Required:
Must have already passed the Registered Dietitian exam
Must have 2 years' experience in Community Nutrition outreach nutrition
Must have experience in public speaking
Experience in developing nutrition programs
Preferred:
Culinary experience
