We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** As a Dietary Clerk, you will perform a variety of clerical tasks related to maintaining accurate patient diet orders and preparation of the patient meal orders. As a part of the healthcare team, you will communicate with hospital personnel to achieve the overall objectives of the Food service department. + You will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining current patient diet information. + You will enter current diet orders from the hospital computer system into to the food service diet office management system in a timely manner + You will be responsible for accurate and timely preparation of each patient’s menus + You will answer calls from nursing and other hospital personnel and communicates necessary information to appropriate staff + You will be responsible for excellent phone etiquette with all callers including patients, family members, nursing, doctors, and other hospital personnel **Required:** ServSafe Food Handler Certification or State Food Safety Certification.
