We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** CPMC-California Pacific Med Center Davies **Position Overview:** Follows clearly defined nutritional procedures to provide support to Clinical Dieticians, physicians and other health care providers with implementation and monitoring of medical nutrition therapy (MNT), including nutrition education, assessment and treatment. Collects patient data and information to understand patients' needs and create menus that support their plan of care. Exercises sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to guide individuals, families, or caregivers in food selection, preparation, or menu planning, based upon nutritional needs and established guidelines. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. **Job Description** : **EDUCATION:** + _Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._ + Associate's: Associate’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field from an accredited program or equivalent education/experience **TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:** + 1 year of recent relevant experience. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:** + Knowledge of various nutritional diets, principles, procedures, views, and equipment used in the treatment of patients with varying disorders. + Capable of performing routine nutritional therapy as well as having a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. + Possess written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people. + Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. + General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and electronic health records (EHR). + Interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. + Prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. + Work independently as well as be part of a team, accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions. + Identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options. + Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI). + Build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives. + Analyze patient data to determine patient nutritional needs. **Job Shift:** Varied **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift Hours:** 8 **Days of the Week:** Variable **Weekend Requirements:** As Needed **Benefits:** Yes **Unions:** No **Position Status:** Non-Exempt **Weekly Hours:** 32 **Employee Status:** Regular Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.
