RequirementsObserves and listens to truck in operation to determine malfunctions.Reads manuals, uses hand tools, power tools to perform repairs and maintenance to electrical systems, power transmissions, brakes, drivelines and other automotive systems to perform repair workReplaces rollers and other wear items as requiredAssists drivers in removing tires for repairAssists Master Maintenance Mechanic as neededPerforms data entry on all services performedOperates mobile equipment as neededDelivers technical advice to Ready Mix Truck Drivers and other mobile equipment operators.Maintains parts inventory and orders supplies as neededDemonstrates good knowledge of lock out/tag out procedure required during certain proceduresMay make service calls at other plants or emergency roadside repairs as neededCommunicates/directs co-workers through hand signals and two-way radioAssists with training co-workers as neededPerforms general clean-up of work areasFollows safety policies and procedures as writtenPerforms other duties as requiredMinimum Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or Equivalent GED requiredMinimum 2 years Mobile Equipment Maintenance Experience, Ready Mix Maintenance experience preferredTrade School or related mechanical / technical certification preferredCommercial Driver License (CDL) preferredClean MVR - Motor Vehicle Report and safe driving practices
