**DESCRIPTION** **Job Summary:** Completes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision. We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Downey, CA). will make an impact in the following ways: We offer relocation, competitive pay and benefits + Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop + Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools + Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles + Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies + Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products + Maintain own tools **RESPONSIBILITIES** In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: + Completes complex internal engine repairs + Performs engine overhauls unassisted + Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components + Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software **QUALIFICATIONS** 5 yrs "heavy line" engine experience Knowledge of Cummins engines and repair practices Experienced Troubleshooter Knowledge of Cummins warranty policies and procedures Computer literate (Insite, QSOL, MS Office, Teams) Ability to communicate details of troubleshooting and repair results There is no DOT requirements for this position. **Education, Licenses, Certifications:** Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Experience:** Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products **Compensation and Benefits** Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
