+ Hourly wage of $32.00 – $36.50 per union contract (NOT flat-rate)

**About the Diesel Mechanic Role:**
At First Student, our Diesel Mechanics perform routine and complex maintenance to keep our school bus fleet road-ready. You’ll use your expertise to diagnose and repair issues, ensuring maximum safety and reliability. Your daily responsibilities will include:
+ Maintaining and repairing brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions
+ Completing and documenting work orders
+ Assisting with mobile emergency services when needed
All Diesel Mechanics are subject to DOT drug testing as safety-sensitive employees. Please note that DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
**You may be a great fit for the Diesel Mechanic position if:**

+ You have 3–5 years of experience working on automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles
+ You have a valid driver’s license and are willing to obtain a CDL (we’ll train you!)
