Position Summary Assist the Die Cut Operator to convert and embellish flat end or printed sheets into single units to be folded, glued, etc. Key Accountabilities * Assist the Operator with Set up of the machine to the standard required in preparation for the run (make ready) * Assess product for meeting quality standards, undertake quality checks * Assist Operator with each job to ensure quality and productivity requirements are met * Assist operator with machine operation to ensure continuous running * Assist Operator with routine maintenance in accordance with the Daily Equipment Care checklist * Review workload with operator to ensure all preparation work is managed in a timely manner to ensure continuous running of the machine * Assist in cross training other staff where applicable * Responsible for housekeeping within department in accordance with GMP Policy and Audits. * Coordinate and liaise with Operator Skills: * Mechanical aptitude * Attention to detail * Problem solve * Ability to read technical drawings * Ability to operate die cutting machine Knowledge: * Knowledge of cutting and creasing * Understanding flatbed die cutting machinery * Understand machine function and operation * Understand machine and job tooling * Understand \u2018pre make ready\u2019 process Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
