Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic radiography procedures independently using established protocols and sound judgment in applying ionizing radiation. Communicates clearly with patients, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation. Ensures accurate documentation by coding exams in the RIS system, networking images to ISITE, and entering appropriate charges. Operates complex imaging equipment for image acquisition, analysis, and documentation in accordance with protocol. Adapts to various clinical areas and maintains workflow flexibility to meet departmental and enterprise-wide staffing needs. Collaborates effectively with team members, physicians, and patients to deliver efficient, high-quality care. Administers oral and rectal contrast as per physician orders and departmental policies. Demonstrates professionalism and empathy, showing respect and care in all patient and coworker interactions. Follows safety protocols, including proper patient identification and adherence to universal procedures during exams. Supports learning and development, serving as a resource for new hires and students while continuously expanding personal skills.Shifts: The position will work rotating days, holidays, weekends, and shifts. The expected schedule is Sunday-Saturday, with 8 hours shifts (7a-3p, 7:30a-3:30p, 8a-4p, 12p-8p, 2p-10p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a. Maybe be pulled to other days/shifts depending on hospital needs.
