**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Patient Identification:** Ensure all patients are properly identified using two patient identifiers and follow universal protocols during procedures.
+ **Procedure Excellence:** Perform imaging procedures independently, applying prescribed ionizing radiation with ingenuity and initiative.
+ **Patient Interaction:** Communicate instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to alleviate fears and gain cooperation.
+ **Documentation:** Review patient history, assess physician orders, and document patient history in electronic records.
+ **Contrast Administration:** Administer PO and rectal contrast per physician orders and department policy.
+ **Exam Management:** Code and track exams through the RIS system, network exams to ISITE for archiving and interpretation, and enter charges for performed exams.
+ **Team Collaboration:** Work efficiently as a team member within the department and across other departments to expedite patient care.

Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT- ARRT-approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date. Technologists hired before graduation will have indirect supervision by an ARRT-certified diagnostic technologist until the degree is verified. The technologist cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT has been obtained.
Second-year imaging students are encouraged to apply
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
ARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist.
Must obtain radiography registry within 6 months of hire date as of January 1, 2025. Diagnostic Technologists hired prior to January 1, 2025, will need to obtain their registry within 12 months of hire/transfer date.
CPR or BLS Required.
CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. The technologist cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT has been obtained.

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
