Key Responsibilities:

Patient Identification: Ensure all patients are properly identified using two patient identifiers and follow universal protocols during procedures. Procedure Excellence: Perform imaging procedures independently, applying prescribed ionizing radiation with ingenuity and initiative. Patient Interaction: Communicate instructions clearly to patients, explaining procedures to alleviate fears and gain cooperation. Documentation: Review patient history, assess physician orders, and document patient history in electronic records. Contrast Administration: Administer PO and rectal contrast per physician orders and department policy. Exam Management: Code and track exams through the RIS system, network exams to ISITE for archiving and interpretation, and enter charges for performed exams. Team Collaboration: Work efficiently as a team member within the department and across other departments to expedite patient care.

Qualifications:

Strong ability to interact with patients and co-workers. Independent judgment and initiative in performing technical procedures. Clear and concise communication skills.
