Summary

Job Description:

24 hours weekly 
Afternoons with weekend rotation 
Call and Holidays when applicable.

Provides health care services applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure.

Essential Duties:

Verifies orders, verifies patient name/birth date and history.·Documents all incidents related to patient care on in electronic health record (example-incident reports,medications given, etc.)·Performs and documents time out procedure for invasive procedures.Follow department protocol for all exams.· Continuously monitors the patient throughout the exam.· Use Radiation protection for patient and self.· Utilize ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) for all exams.· Assist Radiologist and authorized providers with exams/procedures, as necessary.· Performs routine diagnostic imaging , fluoroscopy, surgery imaging, and ED/Urgent care imaging.

Requirements:

Accredited School of Radiologic Technology / DiplomaCurrent Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) LicenseCurrent License with the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography (R)Registry
