Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of oncology diagnostics? As a Diagnostic Manager in Oncology Business Unit, you'll be at the forefront of transforming cancer care. You'll conduct activities and interactions that align with AstraZeneca's values, ensuring compliance with our Code of Conduct and supporting policies. Your role will involve collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, diagnostic partners, and government agencies, to optimize diagnostic solutions for oncology patients.
Accountabilities
Assess different testing options and select and qualify diagnostic partners and testing labs.Identify and collaborate with national diagnostic and clinical opinion leaders to design and execute activities to optimize diagnostics associated with respective brands and tumors.Build collaborative partnerships with diagnostic companies, lab networks, KEEs, and HCPs.Develop, evaluate, and deliver the national diagnostic strategy for current and future oncology products.Implement diagnostics- and patient journey-related insights to shape national brand strategy and tactics.Support in-market registration/regulatory approval of future companion diagnostics/other testing solutions.Identify issues in current testing landscape and develop solutions to minimize diagnostic barriers to therapy use.Act as a subject matter expert for external diagnostic/scientific stakeholders.Develop and maintain scientific knowledge on product-related biomarkers.Provide support to internal stakeholders for content development and delivery of effective diagnostic presentations.Understand clinical operational issues along the testing pathway in oncology and help stakeholders develop potential solutions.Act as an educational resource to internal and external stakeholders.Continuous network maintenance with KEEs to support diagnostic projects.Plan and implement diagnostic omnichannel campaigns and create diagnostic materials.Create branded and unbranded diagnostic material for Sales and Marketing post-launch.Plan and implement local signature events, educational activities, and congress appearances.Support HCSL in creating patient information resources and materials.Essential Skills/Experience
University degree in life sciences, medical or pharmacy degreeExperience with a broad range of oncology diagnostic, pathology, and therapeutic marketing including launch experience, preferably as DxM/DxL or equivalentStrong expertise in relevant lab techniques and processes as well as oncology biomarkers in pathology and molecular biologyExisting network in diagnostic labs (pathology and/or human genetics)Experience in a complex cross-functional working environmentConfident with MS office and CRM reporting toolsProven experience with a broad base of external stakeholdersProven demonstration of effective cross-functional project leadershipDesirable Skills/Experience
