Evaluate staff and student competencies. Maintain constant open dialogue with Diagnostic Radiologist section leaders. Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
ARRT certification in Diagnostic Imaging.
Maintain BLS CPR Certification.
Experience:
Five (5) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist with documented skill advancement in the workplace.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, educational and guest relations skills required.
Demonstrated ability to write and maintain Diagnostic imaging protocols.
Adaptability to ongoing technological changes.
Responsibilities Perform a variety of radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, and surgical procedures on inpatients (General, IMC and ICU) of all ages, according to established standards, policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines.
Maintain current imaging protocol changes on all MMC operated Diagnostic equipment.
Maintain an excellent guest relations rapport with patients, visitors, physicians, students and fellow employees.
Maintain skills in performing emergency, trauma and routine patient care as required.

Administer agents / pharmaceuticals under the supervision of the Radiologist.
Utilize proper infection control practices per the department procedure manual.
Ensure adequate levels of inventory. Monitor the condition of equipment and supplies to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the department; report problems to proper authority. Review and recommend equipment / supply purchases.
Ensure the integrity of, proper recording of and transmission of patient information.
Participate in flexible work hours that coincide with workload demands, overtime required when necessary. Assume Diagnostic call.
Maintain current credentials as required by MMC.
Participate in continuing education and maintain knowledge of current and new Diagnostic technology.
Capable of working independently and provide guidance to all Diagnostic staff. Coordinate the instruction of students and new employees.
Maintain constant open dialogue with Radiologist section heads so as to ensure Diagnostic image quality and current protocol accuracy for all MMC operated Diagnostic imaging equipment.
Performs other related work as required or requested.
