CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS\:

Current and valid registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Certified Diabetes Nurse Educator is strongly preferred

Experience working within the scope of practice and guided by the 2018 Diabetes Canada Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) for the Prevention and Management of Diabetes in Canada.

Knowledge of diabetes testing, diagnosis, and management techniques

Knowledge of First Nation adult learning styles and innovative teaching methods applied to individual and group settings as well as their culture and traditions is strongly preferred.
