Job Overview:
Assess patient nutritional status, develop and implement nutritional care plans and educate patients and family members in prescribed diets and nutritional information. The Clinical Dietitian serves a patient population covering pediatrics to geriatrics.
Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
Qualifications:
Required:
BA/BS degree plus professional certification as a Registered Dietician (RD), or eligibility for registration within 6 months of hire.Maintain the RDN credential in compliance with the CDR professional portfolio requirements, and if applicable, licensure requirement for state practicePreferred:
Master’s Degree CNSC encouraged

Provides diabetes education and nutritional counseling to patients individually and in group settingsDevelops appropriate curriculums for the diabetes self management education programAssures that the diabetes education program meets the American Diabetes Association standardsIn conjunction with the Program Coordinator submits application for ADA certificationDocuments assessment of all education needs, goals of care, and plans of care in electronic medical recordsResponsible for entering appropriate charges in the hospital billing systemAssist program coordinator with marketing of the program as requested
