Prepare initial Request for Proposals (RFP’s) for design consultants as required for the particular project.  Draft project development briefs for review and approval by various development stakeholders. Prepare documentation in accordance with the organization’s governance workflows and DOA.  Monitor the performance of the design consultants, supervision consultants and other consultants in respect of the deliverables associated with the agreed design programme and provide immediate advice in the event their progress may be affect the project overall completion date or milestone objectives together with recommended remedial action.  Follow up on open or unresolved items raised by the consultants (RFI’s) with the responsible party to ensure the project is not unnecessarily delayed. Monitor the project expenditure to ensure it is aligned with the agreed and approved project budget. Provide early warnings of possible variations / additional expenditure requirements.  Monitor and coordinate the activities of the consultants by means of regular coordination meetings to facilitate the production of relevant design documentation in a timely manner so that procurement and construction programmes can be maintained.  Review the consultants and contractors’ quality procedures to ensure works are executed correctly, in accordance with good engineering practice and avoiding abortive works. Ensure all project participants adopt best practice HSE protocols.  Attend all relevant design meetings and record / maintain Minutes of Meeting. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as necessary to ensure development progress is maintained.  Review and attend offsite manufacturing progress against approved design and material submittals as necessary.

Monitor offsite manufacturing process through the supervision consultants to confirm necessary submittals, mock-ups and prototypes inspections and approvals are obtained in accordance with the project requirements.
