DG BOSS: Warehouseman

Ensure the highest standards of total quality and customer service are maintained.Assist Warehouse Supervisor in full range of warehouse functions for Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) inventory.Perform a wide range of warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping a variety of bin and bulk

supplies, materials, equipment, and merchandise.

Receive, unload and process incoming/outgoing shipments. Completed sign shipping and receiving reports.Report over, short, or damaged conditions.Route material and equipment to correct locations or storage areas. Stack, bin, rotate, and mark stocks in

accordance with Lodging standard warehouse procedure.

Locate, assess, load, and move material for shipment and verify or prepare documents either manually or by

using automated equipment to read, store, track, and prepare materials documentation.

Operate warehouse pallet jacks, dollies, forklifts, and other general-purpose vehicles and perform routine operator

maintenance, observing vehicle and road safety regulations. Use common hand tools such as hammers,

screwdrivers, and pliers, observing all required safety procedures.

Conduct, count types and quantities of items during inventory. Recount or search other storage locations to assist

in determining the basis for over, short, or misplaced items.

Demonstrate proper work methods, inspect warehouses and storerooms to ensure that Lodging instructions,

procedures and deadlines have been met. Coordinate with Front Desk, Operations, and Accounting Departments

to determine daily room requirements.

Assist Warehouse Supervisor and/or Management in developing plans for storage and arrangement of stock, and

furniture movement during replacement cycle, in accordance with Lodging regulations for NAF inventory determining

configuration, setup, movement, rearrangement and traffic flow.

Receive, locate, store, ship, and warehouse materials, commodities, or equipment in accordance with establishedLodging procedures and operating requirements.Assist in coordination of incoming and outgoing shipments and placement of materials with docking areas, to

facilitate movement of materials in accordance with priorities, scheduling requirements, and space allocations.

Maintain accountability for warehouse and storeroom facility furnishings and plant property inventory with property tag numbers. Ensure items are properly maintained, stored, and accounted for.Assist during monthly and annual inventory schedules. Maintain and update stock inventory record, file copies ofPurchase Orders awaiting shipment and provide receiving copies to Accounting Department to close outstandingPurchase Orders.Process inventory for survey and/or local Defense Reutilization and marketing Office (DRMO) with proper

documentation and in compliance with Lodging regulations and policies.

Ensure full awareness and compliance with appropriate energy monitoring, safety and environmental laws, fire

prevention, Safety Data Sheet (SDS), and environmental/industrial hygiene regulations and directions, and use of

personal protective equipment (PPE). PPE, as applicable, is used to lift furniture, equipment, or appliances for

safety and protection.

Assumes the duties of Warehouse Supervisor during his absence.


Basic Qualifications

Must possess basic math, reading and computer skills.Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.Must possess valid P.I. Professional driver’s license with restriction 1/2/3, and able to operate mechanized

equipment (i.e. 4-wheel vehicles, trucks, forklifts, etc)

Preferred Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING

Oral and Written English Communication.Must be able to communicate clearly and effective both verbally and writing in English.

EDUCATION:

Must have at least completed 2-years college course or 2-years of work experience or similar in the

lodging industry that demonstrates thorough knowledge of inventory management and purchasing

procedures, using computerized record keeping, standardized supply regulations, policies, or other

instructions relating to specific functions assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

Basic knowledge and skill on vehicle operation and maintenance, including road and passenger safety

rules and traffic regulations.

Working knowledge of cleaning procedures, cleaning equipment, commonly used chemicals (including

SDS), basic safety, environmental, and fire prevention regulations and practices.

Must be skilled in the use of computers and various software programs, including knowledge of the

property management system. Property Management System (PMS) training is provided.
