Title:
DG BOSS: PainterResponsible for executing painting work on construction projects. Responsible for pre-job planning, painting preparation, application, and clean-up painting activities. Performs additional tasks as assigned including
general labor duties, operating equipment, and assisting other workers to complete assigned projects.
Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman.Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.Performs maintenance on buildings, ground structures, utilities, and installed equipment and systems toensure proper operation, minimize breakdowns and maximize useful life.
Performs routine to moderately complex surface preparation, painting, and finishing tasks, applying a varietyof methods, media, and techniques to both interior and exterior surfaces.
Applies paints, sealers, and solvents to the exterior and interior building surfaces such as carbon steel,weathering steel, plaster, sheetrock, concrete, and wood.
Performs building exterior and interior caulking, finish repair, drywall finishing, and texturing tasks.Operates equipment such as airless spray equipment, texture gun, scaffolding, and motorized lifts.Uses mechanized high-reach equipment to renew caulking on exterior building panel seams, windows, anddoors.
Performs special refinishing tasks including wood surface preparation, staining, and sealing.Performs minor plaster repair, blending newly renovated wall surfaces with existing plaster.Surveys building painting project sites to estimate time and material quantities required; selects appropriatesurface coatings.
Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating professionally with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets-up work site.Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up/housekeeping activities.Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, and professional atmosphere, freeof dust, clutter, and trash in all working facilities/areas.
Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor-provided property (e.g.,including government facilities, equipment, and tools).
Responsible for the precise execution of Company time reporting procedures and accurate completion oftimesheets.
Observes and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal protectiveequipment.
Performs other duties and activities as directed.Basic Qualifications
Skill in selecting and applying paint and associated products. Skill in applying coatings and/or caulking and completing repairs to the exterior and interior surfaces. Skill in wood surface preparation, staining, and/or sealing techniques. Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.Ability to select, mix, and apply surface coatings that successfully match and/ or restore interior or exteriorsurfaces.
Must have knowledge and skills in hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidlyadapting to changing priorities and schedules.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material, and followengineering drawings, specifications, and instructions.
Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission and project requirements.Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to, bending, standing, climbing, or walking.Must speak, read, and understand the English Language.Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.Must have a valid country of origin’s driver license.Preferred Qualifications

Any painting certification/s is highly desired.EDUCATION:
Must be at least a High School, Technical, or Vocational course graduate is required.EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least (3) years of experience in painting various facilities and equipment.
