Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Development/Security/Operations (DevSecOps) Engineer / System Administrator to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining DevSecOps tools and infrastructure/equipment (both physical and virtual).
What You'll Be Doing:
Implementing and managing DevSecOps practices, including the design, build, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.Maintain the DevSecOps build environments and CI/CD pipelines.Administering and maintaining Windows servers and virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).Maintain all lab equipment (virtual and physical) and support on-site activities, as needed.Assist with cyber “hardening” of software to ensure the delivered software is secure and meets required cyber security standards.Work with development teams to maintain development environments and Virtual Machines (VMs) and ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.Deploying software releases, updates, and bug fixesPerforming root cause analysis of system errors and resolving technical issuesDesigning procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenanceSoftware configuration management using JIRA or similar toolsPerforming system hardening in accordance with security standards (e.g., Security Technical Implementation Guidelines; STIGs).Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying and resolving issues.Automating tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reliability.Collaborating with development and security teams to ensure secure and efficient system operation.Participating in an Agile development environment, contributing to sprint planning and daily stand-ups, and design reviews.Maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Obtained a degree in Computer Science or a related field or have equivalent work experience with demonstrable capabilities and results.Experience with the Agile or Scrum development methodology.Excellent organizational, communications, problem-solving and people skills, be a self-starter, and enjoy being part of and contributing to a hard-working team.DevSecOps toolset and CI/CD pipeline experience (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, VS Code, Fortify, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps etc.)Must have the ability to quickly learn and creatively leverage new technologies.Familiarity with cybersecurity hardening techniques and frameworks (e.g., STIGs, CIS Benchmarks).Current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent.Valid Windows Server certification (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) or equivalent server environment certification.Active Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearanceWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Familiarity with DoD applications running on Linux and Windows environmentsProven experience in system administration, with a focus on Windows Server environments.Experience working as part of a software development teamExperience with Java based server technologies (e.g. Apache, Tomcat, Spring)Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).Scripting skills (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Bash).Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Prometheus).Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Virtual Machines, AWS EC2, etc.).Security Clearance Requirement:
