We are seeking an early career DevSecOps Engineer to support the Classified IT DevSecOps team in developing and rolling out program infrastructure as well as supporting the Classified IT department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Playing a key role in shaping the organization's approach to integrating development, security, and operations, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive cultural and technological changes that enhance collaboration, efficiency, and innovation
• Design and rollout the team's infrastructure across multiple programs.
• Leverage the latest DevSecOps tools and methodologies to deliver value to our customers quickly, efficiently, and repeatedly.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Full-time onsite role, working both in and out of closed areas.
Basic Qualifications:
Security Clearance Statement: The Candidate Must be able to Obtain and Maintain a government security clearance and Must be a US Citizen.
• Basic understanding of DevSecOps principles, practices, and tools.
• Experience with Linux (RHEL/Rocky) and Windows Server.
• Experience with Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
• Understanding of System Scripting (bash, Python, PowerShell, batch, etc.)
• Growth Mindset, with an interest in emerging technologies
• Strong written and verbal communications
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration skills
• Basic skills with version control tools such as Git
• Strong documentation skills.
Desired Skills:
• Prefer Security+, or other IAT Level II/III security certification.
• Understanding of Test automation and how to implement in a pipeline approach.
• Basic skills and knowledge of Kubernetes Infrastructure (Vanilla, OpenShift, TKG)
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools, such as Terraform and Ansible
• Basic network understanding and diagnostics.
• Proficiency in using container orchestration tools (Kubernetes and Docker Compose).
• Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
• Experience with Docker and/or Containerization.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years
