Role Overview:
The DevOps Specialist will manage service operations and design robust, scalable deployment environments, automation pipelines, monitoring systems, and diagnostic tools to support continuous and iterative development. This role plays a key part in driving service delivery forward in agile, collaborative environments.
Key Responsibilities: Collaboration & Agile Integration
Lead collaboration across cross-functional teams using agile methodologies.
Partner with stakeholders and product owners to understand service needs and shape deployment strategies.
Support project discovery efforts, including fieldwork and technical user research where relevant.
Deployment Engineering & CI/CD Pipelines
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in coordination with Full Stack Developers and QA Automation teams.
Standardize and document reusable CI/CD templates for cloud and on-premise environments.
Integrate DevSecOps practices into pipelines using tools like SonarQube and Veracode.
Infrastructure Automation & Environment Management
Architect and provision infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation.
Automate deployment environments, including configuration management and blue-green deployments.
Manage IAM across environments, including Azure AD, B2C, RBAC, and SSO integrations.
Monitoring, Diagnostics & Service Reliability
Implement and maintain automated monitoring and alerting tools such as Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.
Conduct diagnostics and performance tuning to proactively detect and resolve service issues.
Build event-driven operations and self-healing workflows with tools like Azure Service Bus or AWS SNS.
Maintenance, Evaluation & Optimization
Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
Evaluate existing systems and recommend performance and reliability improvements.
Knowledge Sharing & Innovation
Mentor developers and operations teams on DevOps tools, workflows, and best practices.
Lead knowledge transfer initiatives and build onboarding materials for DevOps projects.
Explore and integrate emerging technologies through proof-of-concept pipelines.
Required Experience
Securing workloads in hybrid or multi-cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration of Zero Trust principles across on-premises and cloud platforms.
Developing on cloud platforms and utilizing cloud services in both development and solution implementation.
Leading hybrid (cloud and on-premise) data initiatives from strategy development to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Managing production services in enterprise environments using cloud-based infrastructure and/or Infrastructure as Code practices.
Hands-on experience with cloud-based development in modern technology stacks.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Experience working with cloud computing or big data platforms and supporting infrastructure.
Ability to leverage cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to build scalable and resilient architectures.
Proficiency in containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code practices for cloud or hybrid environments.
Proven ability to define and communicate solution architecture for large-scale systems, including integrations, modernization strategies, and cloud-native design patterns
