We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Specialist to lead the end-to-end design and implementation of scalable, secure, and robust CI/CD pipelines using GitLab. This role requires hands-on expertise in modern DevOps practices, strong architectural thinking, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through a successful GitLab CI/CD transformation.
Key Responsibilities:Lead the architectural design and rollout of enterprise-wide GitLab CI/CD pipelines, integrating or transitioning from existing Jenkins infrastructure.
Define CI/CD strategy, standards, and best practices aligned with organizational software delivery goals.
Assess existing Jenkins-based ecosystems and propose modernization using GitLab features such as Auto DevOps, GitOps, runners, secrets management, and cloud-native integrations.
Build reusable, scalable pipeline templates and drive standardization across engineering teams.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to DevOps engineers and developers on GitLab usage, pipeline design, security integration, and automation.
Ensure seamless integration of GitLab with key tools like JIRA, SonarQube, Artifactory, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and automated deployments in multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
Minimize disruption while evaluating and modernizing existing Jenkins pipelines.
Required Skills & Experience:10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years focused on DevOps and CI/CD implementation.
Proven expertise in designing and deploying enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
Strong proficiency in Pipeline as Code, Git branching strategies, and automated release processes.
Hands-on experience with GitLab Runners (shared/external/custom executors).
Deep understanding of Jenkins declarative pipelines, shared libraries, and scaling strategies.
Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Groovy.
Solid knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience embedding DevSecOps practices and controls within CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:GitLab Certified CI/CD Specialist or equivalent certification.
Experience with GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).
Familiarity with compliance, audit requirements, and governance in CI/CD automation.
Demonstrated success in leading DevOps transformation initiatives at an enterprise level.
