Responsibilities:
Core Competency Areas & Representative Technologies:
Cloud architecture and orchestrationYou will design, deploy, and scale workloads across public and hybrid clouds (primarily GCP and AWS) using Kubernetes as the control plane and GitOps tooling such as Argo CD to keep desired and running states in sync. Continuous delivery and automation
Expect to own the build-and-release workflow, crafting friction-free CI/CD pipelines with Tekton, Bamboo, GitHub so that application and infrastructure code move through the same tested, reviewable path to production. Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
Everything should be declaratively defined and automatically enforced. We rely on Terraform-style provisioning coupled with configuration engines like Ansible (via AWX) and Puppet to eliminate drift and speed recovery. Linux and package lifecycle
A solid grasp of Ubuntu internals is essential. You will harden, patch, and distribute custom packages, using the dpkg/apt toolchain and repositories managed by aptly and reprepro to guarantee reproducible builds and secure sources. Observability and telemetry
You will instrument systems end-to-end: collect metrics with Telegraf and InfluxDB, ship logs with Filebeat and Logstash, and surface insights through Grafana, Kibana and Opensearch Dashboards so that teams can detect anomalies early and troubleshoot confidently.Data stores and messaging
Operating stateful services is part of the job. We back our platforms with MongoDB and Redis for data, RabbitMQ for messaging, and Elasticsearch & Opensearch for fast, flexible search and analytics.
Collaboration and agile delivery
You’ll help teams track and improve their work using Jira for issue management and Bitbucket for version control, ensuring transparency and alignment across engineering and operations.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven track record designing and operating complex, mission-critical platforms at scale.Hands-on depth in at least one major cloud provider plus strong Kubernetes expertise.Demonstrable leadership in establishing CI/CD, GitOps, and IaC practices across teams.Solid Linux administration, packaging, and security-hardening know-how.Experience instrumenting systems for metrics, logs, tracing, and alerting.Excellent communication skills and a coaching mindset; comfortable interfacing with engineers, product owners, and executives alike.
