We are currently seeking a talented DevOps Engineer (Monitoring and Observability) to join our highly dynamic and collaborative team at BASF's Agricultural Solutions department Digital Factory. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative solutions and processes to support our Risk and Vulnerability Management solutions. Additionally, you will perform analysis and provide technical expertise to support the successful completion of engineering tasks. As part of the global IT Solutions and Data Delivery team, you will contribute to creating and continuously improving our digital solution for the division. Your role as a DevOps engineer specializing in Risk and Vulnerability Management is crucial in expanding our cyber security capabilities to support BASF AP's digital products on a global scale.

RESPONSIBILITIES ​​​You will design and develop IaC components that will automate integrations for our Digital Products Portfolio.You will implement an end-to-end solution that will bring all the issues and vulnerabilities detected by the tool to the product teams through their issue tracking systems, across AWS and Azure environments to ensure continuous security monitoring and vulnerability detection.You will collaborate closely with Digital Product Delivery teams to implement risk and vulnerability management capabilitiesWith your valuable feedback and recommendations, you contribute to improve and define the implementation of a risk and vulnerability management capabilities across the Digital Products Portfolio.You will provide feedback to the Digital Product Delivery teams and provide recommendations for corrective approaches for any issues identified by the tool, alongside with our Cyber Security SquadEffective communication skills and the ability to produce formal documentation is also essential for this roleStaying updated with new technologies and best practices enables you to bring innovative solutions to the tableREQUIREMENTS University degree, e.g. BachelorDegree in Computer ScienceMore than 3+ years leading DevOps processes and implementations on large teamsExperience consuming and understanding APIs to build multisystem integrations and automated solutionsExperience in Risk and Vulnerability management tools (Lacework, Wiz, CrowdStrike, or similar)Experience in CI/CD implementation and tools (OpenShift, Gitlab, Azure DevOps)Coding Experience (in any programming language – python preferred)Experience in IaC (Terraform, Azure ARM, AWS CloudFormation)Familiarity with security governance frameworks and best practicesExperience developing and managing integrations between security tools and issue tracking systems (jira, azure devops, or similar).Experience in Cloud management and automationsExperience in Internal or external Stakeholder ManagementCoaching and Consulting experienceExperience in at least two comparable positionsCommunication and Collaboration skillsAnalytical thinking and problem-solvingAgile principles, values, and practicesIT infrastructure/system landscapeAbility to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to themAdvanced EnglishProject management software (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)Analysis techniquesSystematic search for errorsAgile methodologiesNICE TO HAVE Previous experience integrating multiple components on a single solution focused on a platform approach.Excellent issue isolation, troubleshooting, and debugging skillsKnowledge of DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps for development, release, and monitoringExperience working in an agile/scrum based teamExperience learning independently and coaching othersBENEFITS Responsibility from day one in a challenging work environment and "on-the-job" training as part of a committed team.Adequate compensation according to your qualifications and experience • A secure work environment because your health, safety and wellbeing is always our top priority.Flexible work schedule and Home-office options, so that you can balance your working life and private life.Learning and development opportunities23 holidays per yearAnother 5 days (readjustments days) and 2 days (cultural days)A collaborative, trustful and innovative work environmentBeing part of an international team and work in global projectsRelocation assistance to Madrid providedAt BASF, the chemistry is right.
